Which is best for baby, sleeping in a crib or a bassinet next to your bed?

I'm having my first baby in December and I wonder which is best when you get home from the hospital. Should baby sleep in her nursery or in a bassinet/pack and play next to me in bed?

It will be easiest for you to have the baby sleeping near you for the first - IDK 4 months (for many new mommies).
